I was just wondering if anyone knows the best way to repair a hairline crack in an lj dash pad, the crack is right at the back top rhs corner, hardly visible but would like to fix it anyway, also it's grey at the moment and I want to paint it the factory black,  any idea's on paint type and or colour? any help would be appreciated. thanks Greg

I'd go for the Black Satin on the dash pad. http://www.vhtpaint....ducts/vinyldye/

Thanks Dave, didn't think vht did a vinyl paint, good products usually so will go with that, any ideas on what to fill the hair line crack with? would body filler be ok?

Body filler wouldn't stick to vinyl and it would have even less flexibility. The 1st thing that springs to mind, and I haven't seen them for years, is a vinyl repair kit however, unless it is a professional quality kit you may just be wasting your time.

What ever you use to repair the crack it has to be compatible with the vinyl dye otherwise you will have to use vinyl spray paint instead.
