Just in time for Christmas...

VT was in the shop for a couple of things and he's rung up today to tell us it's been knocked off from his yard. If anyone sees it any info would be appreciated.

Stolen from Waratah, NSW. VT SS 5 litre auto. Blue SS interior, but has red SS drivers seat. Rego: BN30XW

Na it's not insured. I don't really give a frOck about the car itself, it's a flogged out VT with 330+ thousand k's on it. It's more the principal of it, it's my frOcking car, not theirs...

Plus I want the CD that's in the stereo back.

Yes either the mechanic pays for the car OR their insurance pays out to you for loss or damage...

Don't involve those bloodsuckers just yet, unless it is free :)

Compose a logical, factual email to the mechanic. Be sure to start it with "dear dumbass, without prejudice" , as above, advise you believe he is liable.

Thats FrOcked Collo, if I see or hear anything around town I'll ring you straight away.

I bet you my balls that the keys were left in it, I have lost count on how many times I've  heard that salesman leaving keys in cars at a car yard have lost there cars even doing a lot change.

Chin up Buddy I hope you get some sort of compensation out of it.

Not good, even though the car was stolen and not too concerned over it,it is the principle that counts, your car at the end of the day no matter what.

It is getting very hard to "trust" some people and being a SS304 despite the miles are probably getting a "bit thin on the ground as well".

I thought it was a bit sus...(first time at shop for years, then gone?),the low life in society are chasing these things and just steal them.(it happens up here as well).

It may be inside it may be not?

Be careful who we leave the keys with :)..anyway..hope it turns out good..take extra care when leaving your car with someone, known or unknown to you.

best of.

For sure. See it all the time. One would hope they are held responsible and their insurance covers your loss.
Good luck

The owner has been really good about it. Wrote me a cheque today for it.

Turns out we know a few of the same people which probably didn't hurt.

Shame about the CD, though.

See, you know where I'm coming from on the CD haha. Nothing that can't be replaced. Or downloaded.

I'd been thinking about selling the car while it was still running so this probably saved me dealing with the tyrekickers and lowballers lol
