Hi All,

it's on again HSRCA all historic Summer Wakefield http://www.hsrca.com/entry-forms/  also the http://www.heritagetouringcars.com.au/  will also be hosting a round of their championship.

It should be a great weekend for historic motor racing.

Thinking of giving the torana a run in regularity then it's a great track and a good bunch of people.

G

Hi Boys, I'm keen, just got to sort out my availability for that weekend.

Couple of questions:

- can you camp at the track? Or do you book something in town?

- can you leave the car & trailer at the track overnight?

Thanks

Steve

Good to hear Steve, it will be a top weekend with the old historic super cars going round.

I got a new 4wd wagon - so Im camping out the back on the grass - air mattress in the back of the wagon - portable BBQ - esky - beer and a sun shade + two kids+ table and chairs - will go to town for dinner - if i do this option No1

I've stayed in town at the " astor hotel " - this could also be an option again although on friday night the " DISCO GETS GOING AND IT STAYS LOUD TILL ABOUT 2AM " get the idea - but there's heaps of  accommodation in the big G could still be option No 2.

Leave the car at the track with a cover on it.

trailer out the back in the race carpark.

I'm pretty sure that they have showers at the track. It's only 2 nights if you practice Friday.

To keep cost down was going the camping option this time around but may change.

I'm fairly sure we will be there Grant. Although not sure whether Tom is going to drive or me. I'm happy for him to have a go.

We would probably take the 'camp out the back' option. We have a roof top tent, awning & bits and pieces. Would only be Saturday night - don't think Tom will be able to get off work to allow us to practice on Friday.

I should know in a couple of days what we are doing.

Hi Steve,

I''m limited to Friday and Sat .at the track.

Have booked a garage as well......so prob. stay  overnight at the track too...... Frid and Sat.,(camp)

Have a commitment back home on Sunday night...so will prob bail out early on Sund morning.

Trailer will be left at track all weekend.

I understand people leave cars and trailers there without issue.

Security is pretty good.

Regards

Col

Col, I got an email back from the club to say overnight camping was Ok and many competitors leave their cars & trailers at the circuit and it was safe . So that part is sorted.

Tom & I are in - entered and paid. Unfortunately there will be only one Regularity Group so we will be sharing the car across the two days/four events.

Hi,

We had some fun in the wet and slippery last run at Wakefield Park yesterday.

Lap times were 20 seconds off best Dry runs in the morning....but hey...it's still fun!

I had to leave last night.....so hope Grant (Agent 34) and Steve (Dodgey) had a good dry day today.

Regards

Col

Wayne (2LCS) was lovely catching up, pity I didn't get a chance to check here first.

What great racing, especially the Escorts in the last Group A/C race.

Unfortunately, the Netcomm car got stuck in gear.

The only driving I got to do, going backwards on a winch into the trailer!!!

Hi Pat,

Had a look at that Netcom car...didn't know you were associated with it mate. Very nicely presented.
