Yes, they will almost certainly scrape.

215 is a little narrow for an 8 inch rim also.

215 is the minimum size u can fit to the 8 inch rim would it be ok if I rolled the guard?

You need a tyre that's smaller than 23.5 inches in diameter. The smallest tyre in a 215 on this chart is a 215/60/14 which is 24.16 inches so will be fractionally too big. It should fit though if you massage the front bottom lip.

Going by your profile pic you do have an LX right?

I agree also that a 215 is a bit too narrow for an 8" wheel...BFG says a 6 - 7.5" wheel for a 215/60 for example. And I would think a 7 would be about it.. It'll bow the sidewalls outwards on the tire.

Aside from that, since the flares are there, might be time to do a little trimming/massaging of the guard maybe to give you the extra room ?

After I beat down the seam on the firewall, I fitted the 215 x 65 x 14's off the back to see how much clearance I had gained.

One still touches the firewall on full lock, so if you want a decent tyre you need to do this as a minimum. If you wanted to fill the flares then you will need to fold the footwell panel in a bit also, I would think.
