Sounds good Paul.I thought they just used a self tapper, but I could be wrong.

No , its got an extruded hole and a tapped 3/16. You can see it in the pic.

That bracket is off my car.

Yours might put the original ones to shame, don't make them too good.

Can someone tell me the position of the boot light bracket, switch and globe in the LJ boot? A picture would be most appreciated.

There's a round hole (approx 20mm dia.) for the bulb holder and a slot with a small hole for the switch bracket mounting in the R.H support strut between the parcel shelf and the wheel arch.

Thanks Andrew that pic has jogged my memory.

The hole for the bulb holder isn't in the support strut it is in the boxed corner panel.

In that pic you can see the orange wire to the bulb holder disappearing into the hole below the boot lid hinge.
