i was at the Gatornationals in Gainesville Florida today and saw this happen.

I can't believe he walked away from it unhurt!!
Amazingly well engineered cars.
Looks like the chassis failed mid run. They don't say but his car crossed the line at 3.96 and just a shade under 300mph. I think he crossed in mid air

The shaking wasn't only me....the grandstand was vibrating as those monsters roared past.

Wow awesome stuff!! I know what you mean about the shaking. We saw them run at Sonoma, in July last year. Wicked stuff!!! Enjoy you trip....

Thank's for showing, I paused the video at 21 seconds there abouts,

and see the banana in the frame work bending up, and I guess the driver was thinking,

'holey hell, no steering', at first hey.

Arrived in Vegas today and will be driving into LA and then up to San Fran.
Where abouts are you at?

I'm like 10 minutes from Disneyland...while driving, if you take the 15 south from Vegas...then take the 60 west...down to the 57 south all the way to the 22 west, you'll pass my area.

Give me a holler if you'll be any where along the way :spoton:

Sorry I couldn't come visit Jeff. Wife dragged me to Disney and insisted we stay for the fireworks and Fantasmic so we didn't get out until around midnight. Grrrrr

Anyway, we are off up the coast today.
