Hoping that the weather is kind to us this time on the 28th of this month as we are heading up again to race. Fingers crossed!

Well it turned out to be a nice day in Sydney for the drags.  As always I drove up and drag raced as the car drove up.  Managed 3 runs all 11.9.  Couldn't crack the 11.8 I was hoping for and tried different launches every time. So I know that she is a very consistent high 11 second car.

 

The bad news is she didn't make it home. I lost oil pressure on the M7 just after exiting the Horsley Drive. Quickly stopped to checked things out and there was nothing we could do other than to drive another 2-3ks to the most safe pull over spot. Very scary stopping on a major free way with cars flying past you. Pretty sure the damage is quite significant given I had to drive it for so long after losing oil pressure. I suspect the gear on the oil pump drive sheared the roll pin or something like that. Back up to Campbelltown this afternoon to pick her up as we trailered it to a mates place for the night.

 

Not looking forward to pulling the engine out and apart. Oh well, the chances you take with drag racing :-).  Hopefully I can get it all sorted before Toranafest..
