Hi all

I am trying to authenticate the gearbox tunnel  modified part used by Holden in the A9X hatchbacks to fit in the top loader Gearboxes

can anyone help me with perhaps a part number or any confirmation that the part did actually exist

i need to have some proof to show  scrutineers at out local car club herein Western Australia.

Any info would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

I made a floor pan patch for the A9X race replica I am building at the moment. I used a photo I found and the factory drawing as a reference and found it was pretty easy to make. From what I understand the race teams were given this drawing and had to make and install the patch themselves, Red may be able to confirm this. Here is the drawing, hope it helps.

Cheers,      Grant

Not that it may matter but the blister was for the T10 as apposed to the toploader.

Thought I would mention this just incase there is a technical argument coming.

Well, technically it was a Super T10 as opposed to the earlier T10... :D

(sorry couldn't resist)

3J rules allow minor reshaping of the trans tunnel to allow for replacement gearbox and clutch assemblies, Rule 3.2.

Have you been asked for proof of modification that Holden did?? If you have, then I'm in deep shit!!
I have modified my trans tunnel quite a bit to fit the Jerico gearbox in my IP build.

Love your car by the way, it looks really nice. Saw it out at Barbs last year. Missed last night meeting, how did you go?

I don't think you need to modify the tunnel for the toploader box. Just saying
