Hi all I have changed all my gauges to carbon fibre autometer and I'm having trouble with my speedo cable hitting the fire wall. Has anyone had this trouble if so did you use a 90 degree adaptor and did it work. Where do you get them from?? Any pics would be good.

Cheers Tubo

Standard comes out at about a 45 degree angle...Autometer comes out straight....Theres ya problem.

I think a 90 degree adaptor would make it just as bad in a LC/LJ, not sure about LH/LX though.

Cheers.

That's right coz the autometer comes out straight it hits the fire wall I have even cut 1cm off the back plastic so the gauges sits closer in. With the adaptor the cable will come from the bottom. Well at least that is the plan anyway. But I cann't find the adaptor any where coz most off the speedo in cars are electric. And the ones from America are too long. Looks like it maybe easier too go electric but the I bet I won't be able to find the right part for my t5. Let's see for now I'll keep looking

don't know much about t5's ,but autometer speedos work with most factory senders,if t5's came out with electric senders that might be your answer

otherwise have a look summit and search these numbers

sum-g2887-2  or

sum-g2887-1

the sum-2887-1 is the one i used to suit my muncie and it works fine

cheers Rodney
