Do you mean rear outer door belts. Whats the difference from what was previously supplied. Are they curved to suit shape of door and clips fitted ??. The problem is how the hell do you fit these cos you have to do it with glass inside door and there is just no room to get any tool or hook to clip into door. I tried and tried and ended up sikaflexing mine just like everyone else

4 dr sedan front & rear outer door belt weatherstrips use a different retaining clip to the 2dr sedan. Should be much easier to install than the 2dr strips.

With the 4dr the clips are affixed to the weatherstrips and you push the centre prong on the trident shaped clips down into the slots in the inner flange of the door skin.

If I am not mistaken this is the 1st time Rares have released the correct weatherstrips to suit the 4dr LC, LJ & TA.

These weatherstrips should also suit the front doors on the HB Torana 4dr.

Found these listed under new products on the Rares website. Couldn't find any mention of RBD 1022 and RBD 1022A
RDB1023     Right hand rear - outer
RDB1023A   Left hand rear - outer

The problem is that with the glass in the rear doors theres not enough room to angle the strip to get the clips into the door slots or a tool in there as the glass sits higher even with the window stop out you just cant glass lower enough to give you room the dogleg/ wheel arch part stuffs you up. Thats why mine are glued like many others.the other problem was the strips were straight so you had to cut slits into metal section to allow them to bend to shape of door. How did they fit these strips in the factory ??

Jason. What do seat belts have to do with door belt weather strips?

Sorry to bring up an old thread my car has no  door belt weather strips fitted.

I did however find a whole brand new set in the boot but there are no clips at all.

Is it possible to buy clip set ? LC sedan, Or should I just get the new rare spares seals.

I'm sure I recently saw Rares have new clip sets available for the 4dr belt weather strips.

Rare spares sell them each door inner, outer $22.33 each you need 8 for a sedan so about $180 all up.

Surely there is a better way they are worth about 50 cent each.
