I need educating on the heaters.

As I didnt pull the car apart myself I havent been able to find out if there is a heater "on - off tap" as per the HQ and on series cars.

My service book doesnt show anything and cant find anything in the parts book.

Surely the heater core isnt always hot and only controlled by a flapper? There is enough radiated heater going on there with V8 header exhausts without a hot heater core as well!

As above,no tap,the core stays hot all the time and is part of the cooling system, controlled by the flaps which should have a pretty good seal or else it gets hot in cab even if control is on the cold setting.

Foam covered flaps, I changed my heater core last year and refoamed all the flaps , big improvement on air control

Cheers guys.

Think I asked in another post about the foam and what is the most effective and more importantly where you get it from. Still havent got new stuff yet.

I put a tap in once, but that was for an air bleed.
