That's not bad... and I think I'm a few days away from buying a new MIG. Is it an EOFY thing?

Don't think it is an EOFY thing just a new size they now keep

If you pay the $100 and empty your bottle within the 1st 12 months they give you a refill, then when the 12 months expire you pay for a new year at $100 you get a free refill within that year too was how I understood it.

It is much cheaper for me than the old system as I took about 2 years to empty the larger bottle paying monthly rent and this one is half the size should last me a year

Yes, just signed up for this for MIG gas D size. Paid $108.00, left with a full bottle, got one refill in hand at N/Charge. This is a 12 months arrangement. If any needed over this deal can be done at same price. BOC are the suppliers.

Bunnings - Migshield or Argon "D" size $200 deposit on bottle $99 for a fill. Deposit refundable with receipt. Dumped BOC after 17 years, rent was $180 a year and a similar price for a refill.

Question for those in the know.

If I borrrow a BOC bottle from a friend, and I want to refill it how do I go about that?

Does it need to go on his account or do I just go in and swap it?

I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on something tomorrow, is the general consensus that BOC is the go with this deal?

If not BOC, I'll probably buy one from Total Tools because I've already got the pure Argon with them...

Hi Rob, it has to go thru whoever took the bottle out as the barcode is against their account ,but you can pay for it .

Im a bit jealous of this deal considering I just got a new argosheild bottle...

Yeah I did the BOC D-size Argoshield thing today. Did some rough calculations and decided it was definitely a go-er.

Great deal BUT a D is pretty small for serious fabricators.
Perfect for home hotrodders, perhaps not so perfect for the Heath-bags of the world

I've been churning through my pure argon bottles and they are a pain, but I'm not always going to be welding this much.

You have to do a LOT of MIG work to run through even a third of the gas of a TIG.
