I didn't know they made Toranas wide enough for JB to even consider racing... :)

Proper car racing, RIPPER!

Will we see this race on TV or will we need Pay TV to see it as well?

Bowe's a bit of a master of developing race cars & his record shows it. Being a fresh racecar there is always a couple of bugs to work out & I'm sure JB will steer the Torana in the right direction ( at the front where it belongs ).
Looking forward to seeing Gary's SLR rip around Winton with JB behind the wheel & I hope it gets some good air time as long as channel 10 haven't F##ked that up as well.

The fist round was Foxtel so I would say it's gone from free to air forever. It seems if you don't have Foxtel and like Motorsport your stuffed.

They must have allowed concessions in gearbox and diff for a Torana to ever be competitive!

Channel 10 hasn't stuffed up coverage, any sport needs to get the best return for its TV coverage rights and the best money comes from Pay TV. That is why V8 Supercars are on Pay TV as the best $ return for them. NRL is the same, most games are on Foxtel although you get a few on Free to Air. Netball ANZ Championship is the same as well, with only one game free to air each week. Most of  the better TV shows are now first on Foxtel as well.

Maybe they allowed the adoption of the A9X diff and gearbox options.

Maybe they allowed the adoption of the A9X diff and gearbox options.

Isn't that why they were homologated in the first place ?

Have you seen what gearboxes the Mustangs etc. are allowed to run. AFAIK they run modern 5-speeds.

Every 'formula' has it's dramas.

They only do about 10 laps max I'm sure a fresh spooled banjo with billit fine spline axles and a M21 could handle it mabey. I have done some crule stuff to mine over the years and they aren't as bad as everyone says. I love TCM and hate V8 super cars, cheers Aaron

No doubt. They probably paid so much for the rights they can't afford to cover it properly!

Why can't the Torana's run with flares fitted? Having bigger boots under it would compensate for having to use the 308 rather than a 350 or 351.

I'm pretty sure they have a cut off date of 1974-ish but allowed the scoop last year.

Pre 76, 245 fronts and 275 rears for all.
5 litre Holden or Chev for the Toranas.

275s on 10 in rims? They must be doing a fair bit of work to the tubs.

I've got Tony Edwards old wheels & I believe they are 8.5inch from memory.
