Well, after buying an LC that was way beyond repair, and having a mini moke here that has a hotrod (pickup) style body, I've decided to use the mini moke hotrod I have and the driveline from the LC and put it together with a custom chassis since its legal to do so

So far all ive done is strip K-Frame, diff, column, pedal box and booster out of the LC,

Will run a 202, not sure of what gearbox yet, have a 3speed with a speco shifter, and a few vh/vk 5speeds, and a few 4speeds, but might lean towards a traumatic though,

going to run standard LC diff 3:08, as that's all ive got, was hoping to run the widened 13x7 wheels on the back but cant buy 225 60 13 anymore so might try and find some 14in rims later on,

will run standard front subframe, with the motor moved back so the balancer is level to the back of the crossmember,

its going to be a budget hotrod, will make do with what ive got, and with the 10 or so cars down the back paddock I should be alright,

the LC shell, or what left of it (had to sweep most of it up) is forsale, tonnes of chrome work and what not

will run X2 headers with full twin system in to 2, 2 3/4 chrome stacks behind the cab

will be running a one piece brass grill shell, will sit practically on the cross member,

Some pics

the Red Moke part is going, and will be just using the yellow part as its completely seperate

pulling torry apart,

forks touch the bottom of the doors so the explains how much is rusted away

lots of torana on the ground :( (3rd time sweeping up)

going to be a different build, with lots of going back and doing things twice,

For some reason decent mokes seem to fetch between 10-15k. I can't understand why.

I saw a 308 Moke in SM a few years ago. Sounded like a lot of fun.
