Please someone show what racing used to look like to the V8 Supercar mob... Hands down the best formula is to run what ya brung... fucck this same RPM, same diff ratio shit, same everything else bar the body shit.... boring.... give me racing where one brand has strength's and weaknesses depending on the track..... please..

I was there for the race and still have the program in the book shelf! Home on leave and parked half way up the back straight in the usual spot for a bunch of sailor petrol heads.

Do I throw anything out?

My car (the Charlie O'Brien car) ran the "Hangten 400" in September 1976 but by 1977 Charlie had sold it to Brian and Graeme Wilson and they only ran selected races in it until they bought an A9X. They did not run at the "400" in 1977 but I am not sure why as they were local Melbourne people and it would have been their home track. In the footage from 1977 that was on the 20th February 1977 and was in two heats. The Wilson brothers let a bloke called Maurice Andrews drive the car and the race report that I have doesn't make mention of where he finished the first heat (or if he finished at all), but in the second heat he finished 4th behind Bond, Morris, Carter, and just in front of Marshall Brewer after a lot of cars didn't finish including Peter Janson in that crash with the Capri.
