Anyone know of or seen any company that does aircon brackets, specifically for a V6 Hilux or V6 Landcruiser (or even a Tacoma)? I can't find anything on the 'web but I have been told that someone does one. I have found a guy in the USA who fitted a Sandman SD down below the power steer pump on a Tacoma but it must have been an older one as the Hilux/Cruiser has a dipstick tube running through that spot and if I could move that somehow I could do the same but I don't think that is possible without a purpose-built mod that is out of my depth! Just looking to mount a modded Sandman compressor to use as an air compressor. Endless Air in Melbourne do a kit for a D4D for Hilux and Landcruiser but not for the bigger engine.

Those aircon pumps will blow a tyre up as quick as you can blink.
Dunno how you would set one up safely.

Easy WOT. 10L air tank, cutoff switch (in series with a switch on the dash to operate the clutch), overpressure valve and a drain valve on the tank. The compressors at vehicle idle will put out about 6-8cfm and are good enough to operate air tools, even better if you make a small vehicle mod to bump up the idle. The best compressors are York which have their own sump but it is only a small mod to a Sanden to take grease instead.
If you use a used compressor you are talking $300 all up plus the compressor bracket. Would be easy on an older Holden as you'd used a factory aircon one.

I used a pressure switch in line with it, so would run until the couple gallon tank I had was up to pressure then the a/c clutch would cut out. Soon as the pressure went down the clutch would kick back in.
