Awesome mate, what times are you running in the hatch - interesting how you'd go up against the Yanks in their mid size runners

I have plied for the Australan one back in December last year, but still can't get a response to whether I have been accepted

I was going to enter the Aussie Street Machine drag week, but have been told club permit cars are strictly not allowed.
How did you find this out?
Maybe this is part of the reason I haven't heard?
Can't see why not, it's still registered and insured. And to be honest, a lot more "Street Legal" than some of the other bad excuses for "Street" cars!!

Yeah I'm not sure why, but I have 2 mates already entered (and formally accepted), one of which is last years winner. They're the ones who told me club rego is out. I don't see the difference, but it's saved me a tonne of money not entering, lol.

Oh, and that makes the 2nd white hatch in America, that I have seen at least ha ha.. I had brought another over in 2000 with my red one. (Sold the white one off though) then had brought over another white one around 5 or so years ago but ended up shipping it back and sold it.
Neither were drag cars..just normal run of the mill hatch's.

I know Compton well... I load containers out of a place in Rancho Dominguez (across the road from Compton basically) and am around there often enough. A bunch of places to eat if you ever need in the shopping center right on Alameda off the 91, and is a decent area too.
I've been to places right down in Compton a bunch of times too (my wheel polisher is in the middle of it [pretty much)..just keep your eyes open and aware of what's going on and it is fine there.

Are you over here now, or over where ever DW is taking place? Suppose the car won't be hanging around here very long...would be cool seeing another hatch driving around..especially from inside a hatch, ha ha..

Would love to see it on Roadkill or one of the other Hot Rod Magazine shows.
Pretty sure they run Drag Week and the Roadkill guys are usually there.
