Fact or Fiction.

 

The CAMS Group E `Series Production Touring Car` rules required GM-H to build 300 LC Torana GTR XU-1 to attain recognition of it with it`s 3.36 and 3.08 differential ratios.

I've been meaning to watch the series again but I'm almost certain that at some stage someone mentioned that Ted's Kingswood was a V8?

 

I know they said he bought it new in 1971, which means it could be either a HG or a HQ, and I don't think they ever actually showed the car, but I always assumed it was a 253 auto HQ Kingswood sedan for some reason?

 

With personalised plates "TB007" if I remember correctly.

Prior to the homologation of the 700 1970 Bathurst LC GTR XU-1s, Holden were required to build 5000 Bathurst LC GTRs within a 12 month period.
