Hey everyone,

 

                       Has anybody had a go at making the caps at the ends of the A pillars in front of the corners of the front windscreen on a LH-LX? Someone asked me to have a go at making some for their car and I have spent hours on each one to try and get the shape right, and I'm still not sure that they will fit. These things have fought me all the way and initially I thought that these might be a good item to make and sell as it is a common rust area on all LH-LX's. Once sorted out what would be a good price for them $40, $50 each? Any thoughts/ feedback?

$50 a side is fair.
I've made one before and it was a total prick to get right...

$50 sounds to cheap? Imagine paying a panel beater X amount of dollars an hours to repair this section....

Grant you have done an awesome job on those. I have just  done mine and spent ages doing them. If I had known you were doing them I would have grabbed them from you without hesitation. At $50 each you are underselling them. As LS1 Taxi said, they are an absolute bastard to try to get right.

How many hours did they take to make then times that by $75-$100 would be my guess

In man hours they are worth far more than that but realistically I'd be saying $80 a side minimum. $50 is way too cheap.

nice job mate and yes they are worth more than you can sell them for but 80 to 100 for hand made craftsmanship
