just went down to the shop to get something to eat, and just around the corner from my place is see a black hatch with 'MRA9X" plates parked on the side of the road, nearly veered into traffic rubber necking. anyway thought I would check it out after I had something to eat, but on my way back I saw it going on a tow truck. my heart sunk a bit seeing a towie about to drag it up. hope it is nothing serious.

anyone here know this car, probably a member here?

Was a snapped clutch cable.

I would of still driven it instead of trusting a tow truck. Drove my escort from warrnambool to sunbury like that after snapping clutch cable on way home from portland. Neutral and switched off coming to red lights to start car in first. Then neutral and little rev going up/down gears. No crunches and got me home lol

Wouldn't be the first time I drove a car home without a clutch cable.

Drove my LJ V8 around for a month or two before I got the clutch sorted.  Started in 2nd, you got used to the gear changes pretty quickly
