I was wondering if the boot locks are the same as the hatch lock ?? I am looking at solex locks on ebay at the moment not sure if there the same as the hatch lock ??

Hi Wes

According to the parts manual they are the same item for the 69 and 77 body style

I could be wrong but what I've read / heard those solex locks are garbage...

Just put in new locks. Your old locks may have been able to be 'jiggled' because they were old locks, the pins wear out with usage.
