hey guys were thinking instead of cutting my battery tray and the flat on drivers side behind headlight to fit turbos in and close bonnet

we might try mount the turbo,s underneath them so when the johny plod lifts the bonnet its not the first thing they see, we wont have to run the pipes over top of wheel arch and plus we can get a descent filter on em with the extra room.

has anyone ever done this in an lh??

I have not, but keep in mind if you mount the turbos lower than the oil level you will need a sump and scavenge pump for them, as they are designed to gravity drain the oil feed.

I suspect if Mr Plod has your bonnet open you'll be in more trouble that the early settlers anyhow so I can't see how semi "hiding" the turbos will make a difference. Bomber is spot on with your oil issue.  More hassle than gain by putting the turbos down there....IMHO

Engine provides the oil

Remote pump pushes it back

Abit of extra plumbing... but it takes the heat and the visual (cop problem) out of the engine bay

Successful setup when done right and sound cool too

Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Looks great as it is, but did you try routing the pipes into a rear plenum, such that it might fit under the 'stock' bonnet scoop?

I didn't know a thing about turbo when we started this build, I'm trying to get funds up again to go injection and change pipework n get everything down low so I can drive it every day with a normal bonnet
