This Friday and Sat 16th and 17th Four members of the Torana motorsport club are running in the classic adelaide.

Also the club have been invited to participate in a club display at the festival. Also our club patron Joe Felice will be attending and at a club function saturday night.

What a shame it ended that way, it is a great looking car.

 

Do they break there often?

 

I don't think I've ever had enough under my right foot to do that  :3gears:

BTW Big W, when you fell asleep today in the chair at the display, we took a photo. The photo shows you with a sign stating;

 

"I love FORD"

 

&

 

"An L34 makes me this exited"

 

Next time you start laying it on about hairdresser hatchbacks, it might just very well be posted up somewhere!

Joe F did not realize that holdens made A9X,s in black he said that colour was reserved for taxi,s and funeral cars so i am booking your hatch to carry my coffin so you can have the last laugh, and for the record i was resting my eye lids

It didn,t end many thanks to a forum member and his mate who worked to 2.30 am we were thrilling the crowds the next day but had to be a bit more gentle

very nice....both those cars look awesome!

 

and it sounds like you had fun, without the apparent reported hassles that that Modball Rally elsewhere ,seemed to have.

I had a few Dads plonk their Sons in the drivers seat of the A9X hatch for a picture. Makes the event just that bit more special for them.

 

I also got to sit at the wheel of a genuine True Blue XY GTHO Phase 3, surprisingly crowded place too.

Comes up allright with a bit of polish. There were some real quality cars there both days.

 

Saturday there was

2 x A9X hatches (Black one & a Red one),  

2 x 308 hatches (Black one & a Red one),

a Green A9X sedan and a green 308 SLR

and a very clean LJ.

 

Sunday there was

one A9X hatches (Black one),  

2 x 308 hatches (Black one & a Red one),

a Green A9X sedan, a Green L34 sedan,  

a green 308 SLR,

a silver LJ GTR

and an awesome green LC.

 

Around the place was also another

2 L34s, one Yellow and a HDT car,

2 original A9X hatch group C race cars

and a very nice green LX hatch in general display.

That was my green LX hatch I'm glad you Torana blokes liked it. Looks like a great club that I should get involved in.

You should have come over for a chat Phil, I'm from Whyalla originally.

 

There has been a truck load of tough toranas go through Whyalla over the years, I am sure we would have found a few we both know of.
