No I think its better to restrict trolls from changing their posts to make everyone else to look stupid or insinuate they are liars

This is not about real information... its about people being assholes to each other

By all means if you have any updated info on anything please feel free to share and edits can be done to suit

Having to ask a moderator to edit posts is just not practical, to give you an example of what I'm talking about, I've been working on a list of Gen IV V8 engine number prefixes over on the Just Commodores forum here:

http://forums.justco...r-prefixes.html

That forum, and most other forums I'm a member of, allows it's members to edit their own posts forever, I've only been building this list in public for the last two weeks and I must have edited it well over a hundred times by now, and I expect to need to edit it hundreds of more times before it's complete.

I'll give you another example, I've been building a list of NSWGRN radio towers over on the ScanSydney forum here:

http://www.scansydne....php?f=24&t=769

That's been a work in progress for more years than I can remember, everybody contributes, everybody benefits, it's not all secret lists and private data that nobody's willing to share like I've found is often the case here.

None of this information would be available to the public if I couldn't go back and edit my posts on those forums, or if it was, it'd be scattered across hundreds of separate posts and completely useless to anyone, again, as is often the case here.

I have tons of research I've done that I want to make available, it's pointless me taking it to the grave, but research has a way of needing constant correction and addition, and without that ability it's not worth my time to even type it up.

Yes I agree there is way too much trolling here, and I'm guilty of that myself, but it's a case of "everybody else does it so why shouldn't I". As you well know it's damn near impossible to have a serious conversation around here without a flood of pointless banter about who's gay this week or whatever, but that's another discussion altogether.

I don't see how being able to edit your posts would make any difference? Or at least I see the positives would far outweigh the negatives, it reminds me of the old government mentality of making it hard for everybody just because of a few rotten apples.

Finally, apologies to the guys at UPC for the thread-jack, maybe all these posts could be moved to the forum maintenance section?

Datto is correct.

Contacting a mod to get something edited is not terribly difficult

Just smash it all out in word pad, spend a few weeks working on it, Post photobucket links with the [.img] tagsin the word pad where you want the picks to be, that way when you start the thread its just a simple copy and paste.

Cheers.

Anyone had experience on LC or LJ?
Does the offset change like the Hopper Stopper kit?

Terry,
I have your UPC 280mm rotors.
Happy with them.
Not happy with the 'adjustments' I had to undertake to fit - not out-and-out miffed, just couldn't understand why the kits could not be made to better fit and require me to get bust taking meat off stub axles with a file is all.
I digress.
I am surprised at the politeness your product bombing has experienced here.
Do a search, you will see lots of feedback, some terse, most constructive even if critical on your kits including thread after thread after post as to anything from UPC larger than 280mm is not a reliable upgrade for Toranas.
Can I suggest you look at these entries - properly look - be prepared to sit and read a while, reflect on what is said, amend product to meet expectations and rightfully thereafter flog what you have done to respond to these concerns, issues and experiences?
Up to you.
Best of luck in your endeavours.
Cheers, Craig

Terry,

The search function at top right of screen always plays up here.

Go to Google and type in: gmh-torana upc

It will give you a handful of threads to click on but just below is has a link saying: More results from www.gmh-torana.com.au - click on that.

That will give you umpteen links to threads on this forum to have a look at.

Regards

Sorry wasn't thinking of that configuration, I had a vision of an engine the size of my starter motor doing the work.
