Honestly don't know if there will be enough room or not. Will cross that bridge when I get to it. The good thing is my mate who will make the exhaust is the one who made the cross member so all will be an easy fix.

Yes commodore

Booster is a cross between an XA (rear)!and a LH (front) from memory with LX push rod. Made by Hydroboost

Don't know why but for some reason I presumed a Commodore radiator wouldn't fit in a Torana, well done.

been a while since any work or updates - work getting in the way along with waiting for a mate to have time to do a bit more welding/pipe work

 

headers made - once given final nod they will be removed and fully welded.

Never seen it done like that before... I wouldn't have thought you'd have enough ground-clearance to run the primaries under the outriggers like that?

you need to get out more most shops that run 1 7/8" primaries 4 into 1 do it that way...  1 3/4 amd tri Y's dont need to

 

although i did work on a car with 1 7/8 all through the normal position but was a nightmare with the steering and concentrates alot of heat on the starter etc...

Headers look too good to use, I would have liked to fit the cats where you did but I didn't realise that until I finished and it was too late

Thanks Tom. They are McDonald Bros. Top and bottom arms. Bought them because it allows me to not shim to do the wheel alignment as I need the room because of AC compressor. But they weren’t cheap :(

mocked up a fuel tank out of thin MDF board .. made it to size i wanted (around 70L) and has a step in it to allow fitment of a space saver wheel on one side and also has the cut out for a drop in VF MRA unit

No shims to do the wheel alignment, do they have some sort of eccentric adjustment?

What is that Moroso accumulator under the guard? Vacuum?

No shims. Runs rose joints that are adjustable front and rear. The Moroso acumulator is for oil. Dumps are way to small on a torana for LS. They run 8L on LS ‘s. And bigger on LSA’s. This way I know that st the end of a dyno run or drag strip I am not purging the limit and about to run out

Hectic fabrication work. Love it.

But there's no way in hell any Torana I've ever owned could run a primary pipe under the outrigger like that. The standard rear-mounted swaybar is bad enough for trying to get ripped off when I drive over shit, but maybe you run at a very different height to me.

I have remade extractors for mine more than I can count trying to get ground clearance. My pipes are 2 1/8 primaries into 3.5 inch collector, I have 10mm clearance to the floor, just enough room to squeeze a heat mat in there and I still cant get more than 90mm ground clearance unless I jack the coil overs up. You will be riding very high with those pipes to not scrape.

yes have done a bit more (mainly boot area .. boxing in. plus have new diff centre installed and spoken to trimmer
