Hi everyone

My car was stolen on Tuesday 24 November 2015. I filed a report with the police that same day and have been emailing car clubs to ask them to keep an eye out.

I have made a post on facebook as well and so here is the link if you don't mind sharing it that would be great: https://www.facebook...153029267586377

Here is a description of my car:
Year: 1973
Make/Model: Holden, LJ Torana
Colour: Orange with a white roof
Doors: 4

NUMBER PLATE IS INCORRECT in the photos as the photos are several months old - the number plate is 617 VSG**

I truly and deeply appreciate any help you are able to offer either by simply sharing the post or messaging me if you see the car and or have any information about it.

The car was stolen from Chevron Renaissance shopping centre car park in Surfers Paradise.

*****$4,000.00 REWARD OFFERED******
If the car is returned to me with no damage or only minor damage OR
If the information you provide leads me to finding the car or having the car returned to me with no damage or only minor damage.
NO QUESTIONS ASKED
***************************************************************************

Thank you and kindest regards,

Adam

Two weeks?

How long did you leave it with the cops?

Regardless of what they say anything more than 12 hours in there hands only with no result and your out of the game, it probably wouldnt have even made a search in that period, unless one of them randomly trips over it in that period your out of luck.

Looks like a cool car, but by now it will be repair sections and parts ready for ebay in a few months time.

I really hope you get to hand out that 4k Adam but sorry to say, I think it would've been found by now if it was going to be?

Most of the young oxygen thieves that joyride cars wouldn't take a grandpa special like that if it was left open with the keys in, so more likely that someone was after that model specifically, which is bad news.

I've used one of these in my Commodores for years...

...and I absolutely 100% guarantee it saved my VQ Caprice that got broken into one night many years ago, had it deadlocked (so you can't unlock the doors even from the inside) and alarm on and neither of them stopped the scumbags smashing the window and climbing in... but this little Autoloc stood up to the test, they actually bent the handbrake lever and still couldn't get it off!

Can't remember what I paid (would've bought it back in the 80's) but it was like one percent of what it's worth to me!

That looks like a good one; there were some hideously cheap versions that were a bit of a joke.

I have a The Club 'Click It' version; stronger than the early brittle ones they made; it's a pretty good deterrent as usually they want to steal it quick but a determined thief will cut through the steering wheel and I've seen some old two spoke steering wheels severely deformed after the thief managed to remove one.

Looks like you could un-screw the gear knob and take it off ........  could be wrong though  :)

I'm buying a club lock.

Protip: install it so the barrel faces the dash; much harder to access if a thief tries to get at it with a pull hammer.
