How can a car with a 202ci 6 cyl engine that beats a car with a 351ci V8 not be classed as a muscle car?

We are not yanks lol...

Then why do we have to use their terminology?

lol

We were calling them super cars, then decided to switch over and use yank terminology, I guess it's just the Australian way these days, lol. Not that I'm fussed, I use this post for the technical discussion, as this is a forum for technical discussion as much as it is for laughs.

I'm sure we all accept that the gen. pop'n use the term 'muscle car' colloquially (I'm sure most of the US does too); similar to how most of the population will call an 'anti-sway bar' a 'sway bar', not that there's anything wrong with that. lol

Factory specials in the US in the muscle car era were built for drag racing whereas here they were really built for circuit racing so outright power wasn't necessarily the goal.

It would be good to have our own term.

It is a bit odd why that term was chosen, I find a lot of performance cars look rather pretty with their dazzling paint jobs and lashings of chrome and pony cars are downright sexy ... those Coca Cola bottle lines on the Corvette phwoarr! hahahaha
