UC's look horrible with flares.

They are so sleek and elegant as they sit, adding bulbous plastic penis extentions like all the square boxy Torana owners feel the need to do is a misjustice.

Found these on google images; most are from this forum; there's probably a few more out there.

I think the last one is a photoshop; I've seen it discussed here before.

Josh, I'm not a fan of flares and won't being putting them on my hatch but I must admit a few of those cars sit really well.  I think you have to really make sure you get the stance right and fill out the flares with big rubber.  At the end of the day it's what YOU like.   Cheers Ron

As the pictures demonstrate, the flares don't really suit the style of the UC front and rear end.

If I had your UC and you liked the overall look, I'd be hanging out for a neat chrome 'SL' grill with no badge/badge in the middle, and going for some clear indicator & parker assemblies (I've got some I could sell if you would like? PM me). That to me would be a good start.

Yeah, no flares on UC's, its a rule, they look alright from some angles but very wrong from others.

There are a few exceptions to the rule, but then it may just be I've only seen them from the right angle.  :D

Some guys replace the headlights and tail lights with LH/LX versions but it is a big job, not just a matter of changing nose cones.

Maybe some bigger wheels to fill the guards better and drop it low like some other guys have suggested.
