ok everyone. I need to fix the hatch hinge mount on my hatch.
What is the best way to get to it.

It's only where the hinge bolts on that has rusted. Everything else is rust free.

The only way I've seen it done is to cut into the roof and fix it all up inside.

Not saying it is the only way, just what I have seen done on here a few times is all - just can't recall the threads - maybe something by Dirtbag...

Just didn't want to cut a perfect roof if there is another way

Go in from the bottom. If you cut the roof you'll have to worry about getting it perfectly straight.

I had a shell at one stage where a dick had cut the roof to repair that section. Awful mess.

yep I agree go in through the bottom have fixed one before going this way and isn't that hard to do

Ok finally got some pics of this from an old build thread that i stole. Hope they don't mind.

This one is worse than mine on the outside but way better than my mounting points for my hinges.

Just be careful to include the curve of the roof and the curve at the top edge of the hatch lid in your repair.

I only have to fix where the hinges bolt on rest of it seems fine. Guess I will find out when i open it up.

Hey ShtStr just seeing how you went with the repair I was cut the same except someone butchered it and not much left of the hinges
