Hi

I'm In the final lap of getting this ready for the road and in my many excursions under the car I have noticed that there is only about 2-3 mill (about an 1/8 inch in the old money) between the exhaust pipe(s) and the sway bar.

Everything is standard and  some years ago I welded up the hole in the exhaust it had created during its life.  Its the bottom header pipe and that was the easiest option.  The only other way I can see is to remove the headers and do a bit of cut & shut work on the pipe to clear the sway bar but I don't really want to do this.

Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly is there is any way to fix it?

cheers

Paul

yep....Genie extractors and K Mac bar.

A little fiddle fart around with the mounting and it doesn't touch / knock when driving.

Pics are only from the test fit day.

p.s - Having seen that other thread about squashing pipes ( admittedly the single pipes from memory).. you could always massage the collectory bit?

Space the mount. You seem to have plenty of thread on those bolts.

I had the same issue after I had my engine rebuilt, the exhaust guy loosened the engine mounts and straightened the engine which fixed the issue. He said it was slightly off vertically.
