Hi ,I have a Opel reverse light switch ,it has a arm which is broken but still attached ,just wondering if I can spot weld this without it effecting the internals ,hoping someone can help .thanks.

I would clean it up and solder it,but you will need a real soldering iron

Not sure if solder would work Philip ,there is resistance on that arm with the bolt in it ,so it must have a spring inside.

probably some sort of insulation inside and some sort of "seal" on the shaft,i would "uncrimp" the tabs with a "modified" tool and take it apart (carefully) ,but that's what i would do.

the shaft might be retained by something on top inside by who knows what? so just be a bit careful if you decide to take it apart,2 cents worth.

Submerge switch section in small container of water then weld away...
