Umfortunatley there is one member that will be stroking his possum cos thats his thing....
He just cant comment in here cos he runs a 6 so these 1/4 mile times are his 60ft
You are spot on Paul but it ain't bomber.
It could easilly be me, mine still hasnt done a proper run at the 1/4.... Im only commenting with things I have seen on other cars i've worked on or had a lot to do with, and general things i've picked up spending every chance I can get at the strip a few years ago.... Ta for the vote though Daz
I could only find a handful of time slips but the one i did find that was decent was per the below
60 - 1.966
half track - 7.654
mph - 98
et - 11.445
mph - 134.5
I dont care what experience anyone has or what there stroking, that MPH is riciculous for that ET. MPH at half track is still ridiculous, so whatevers going wrong its going wrong within the 330' IMO.
The .060" is pretty shit, but its an IRS car so you will have big issues getting it to 60'. I have some mates who had low 10 second jap rockets with similar rear ends, they actually dialed in positive rear camber static, so when the rear squatted the tyres squared up, perhaps mount a gopro to the back door facing the rear tyre so you can see what its doing while your launching/the first 330' or so and see if this may help you?
I know on my Mini atleast having a gopro facing towards the rear guards so I can watch what the back tyres doing during a run (totally different discipine, but meh) helped a lot when I was tweaking the rear suspension.... Have the car a LOT more settled under throttle sliding out of a corner now and without the footage would have been stabbing in the dark with a spoon for someone with my very limited knowlege of chassis setup to be blunt.
Cheers.
