The photo I posted

It has a LJ XU1 rear seat :driving:

Can't argue with that, it does indeed have an LJ 82911 rear seat, but where are the LJ 82911 front seats with head rests?

Well the sticker that says OK on the bottom of that Drivers side, Side window is the same as the pic I posted up on the Number 16 Car, is it not.

I disagree. Number 16 the OK sticker is applied level, on the other pics of the Peter Shearer sponsored car it's on an angle.

Those 'OK' stickers were applied after 'The Cams' had scrutinized and OK'ed the car???

yep...they are a dime a dozen on old race cars...nothing special about an OK sticker, imho

The exact, but randomly slapped on,  placement on the window may tell something, but as you say Dave, normally it  just signifies that it passed scrutineering as being OK (just before they snuck it back into the  garage and tweaked it!, ha ha )

Yep correct. As you can see on dad's pic there are a few stacked up.

good to see you lurking Wayne....

I was  only 1/2 joking .....I always find it a little funny that cars are scrutinised at say 07:30, and may not race until after lunch or even the next day.

Only some outstanding result will call for a protest and possible inspection after the event.

Sure scrutinising is about safety inspection as much as about class rules and stuff,.... just find it interesting.

Scrutineering has been done like it for years, so it must work well enough.

Bit like a maths teacher checking a kids pockets on a Tuesday for a banned calculator, then saying "" now, make sure you dont put a calculator in your pocket for Wednesdays test, as there will be no checks tomorrow"".

Easy to spot the different cars by the flares.

Yes, but that pic with DJ sitting in it, that I posted up with the LJ XU1 rear seat, does not show or you can't see the flares, so which car is it, bit hard to say as we can't see all of the car in that photo.

That's easy mate, look at the roll bar main hoop position and angle and also how far back the rear stays go on the parcel shelf. On the Peter Shearer Menswear /Kerry Cox car the hoop is behind the b pillar, on the earlier improved production car with flares it's on an angle and level/in front of the b pillar. Big difference in rear stay position too.

The LC gtr series production car and later turned 308 sports sedan was sold to Graham Coutts and then Barry Wraith who fitted a 289 ford engine then a 5 litre chev engine and later a 350 chev . Barry Wraith fitted huge flares to accomodate 15x10 hotwires . the car is alive and well

Yes he raced with my Father in Sports Sedans for many years, he comes out to State rounds in Sydney to watch me race sometimes too. He is out at MCM every year, he has a Camaro road car now which he spends time on. Great Bloke to boot.
