Both, the core is expensive because it's an odd size.
I found a reasonable second hand one in the end, but they are rare as rocking horse eggs to find in good condition.
Think I was quoted $350. I was told there is only one company making the core in this size.

I tried to find alternatives. Best I came up with was an aluminium heat exchanger for water cooling in computers.
Cheap, but the ports are too small, so was worried about flow rates.
Was just about to test it when I found the one I have now.

Hi Gene & Tony,

I'm thinking there is a bit of pain coming my way. By the look of the pics is seperating the heater box itself the difficult bit?

I have spoken to a local mob here in Melb who say they can fix it for me, these are the same guys that did my radiator.

Cheers Brian

As above.
The fibreglass box is a bit fragile so go easy pulling it out and apart.
There's some work in refurbishing everything back to newish condition.
I could not find a replacement seal for the blower cover, but managed to find a good second hand one.
The rest of the seals can be sourced or made from foam.
There's a thread on here somewhere for doing the refurb, and I have lots of pics.
Have nearly a complete box in parts as well if you need anything.
