Hey Guys Just wondering what everyone is using to clean their compliance plates ? I have removed mine off of my car and now want to clean them. Not sure If I should just polish with autosol or is there a better way.
Cheers

Which assembly plant? Some are meant to be painted and often covered in body dip.

Try Brasso maybe. I've seen people hand polish them with normal metal polish and they come up like mirrors but not how they were originally. If there is some corrosion maybe very mild citric acid or a water/molasses mix first. Perhaps find yourself some old redundant plates off a wreck and try whatever you want to do first on those, so you don't damage your originals.

Hi,
My car is a 10/73 LJ GTR, Brisbane build, and I am trying to confirm if all 3 tags are an aluminium finish or is 1 of them meant to be painted ?
My engine bay has been resprayed in its life and they painted over the paint & trim tag.
Regards
Dan
