you need to watch the whole video look at the car before she takes it there its frOcking 10 times better than a so called ground up resto they have done.....all the rubbers are siliconed on as are the badges scratches dents rust bubbles runs interior vinal not stuck down wrong bits put back on the front seats her original seat belts replaced with some old pieces of shit trim bits on outside of car missing the list is endless...... my favorite they cut the carpet wrong near her console that was left in the rain by the looks of it so they stick a square piece over it to coverit up wtf these Daisy Chains need a flogging....

I agree, it looks like a shithouse job. But I would anticipate a full total ground up Resto done to top notch standards would be looking upwards of $60-80k? It's a huge job and very time consuming.

i know how time consuming a job it is mate but this job they have attempted to do is a joke and worth 5k and thats being generous they have taken a car that was original and #@$^%& it...you can not put this in any category near a good resto can you so you can't say a good resto is 60-80k with this car in the same breath can you....its nothing like your resto now that is 60-80k

I would expect for $24k a excellent paint job. How can anyone be making excuse for the person who charged for that work. Even if materials cost $4k and at $100 per hour does that look like 200 hours of paint work and body prep? I doubt many are charging $100 per hour most panel shops do these jobs between the insurance work, cheers Aaron.

This guy has done this before

I know of at least 5 people pursuing him thru the courts for similar dodgy jobs or jobs not even started but large sums of money taken

Ignore the $40k figure

She didn't get the car back with a 40k restoration... she removed the car before the resto was finished due to sub standard work

The final bill was expected to be higher but she didn't proceed further

So the comment about expecting a full resto for a figure is irrelevant as the resto wasn't finished

Consumer affairs couldn't force a girl guide to give a refund on a stale packet of cookies.
