This sounds a lot like a 'Phil' I worked with a long time ago at a P&P shop in Malaga. If its the same guy then he's been pulling this shit his whole working career (I've got a few good stories about his work too).

Consumer Affairs & Commerce appear piss weak and toothless these days. Almost like ebay protecting dodgy sellers level of shit.

I found a local shire best to complain to with my latest fleecing on my Torana.

Hi guys .. Thanks for sharing my link to the clip. I've come to clarify a few things ;-)
Im Defo not an aggrieved ex ( absolutely makes me shudder at the thought of having anything to do with that man!)

I live in Kalgoorlie Wa .. Sent my car 600 kms away down to that guy in June 2014 as we don't have many services up here.
I did actually do my homework contrary to what one member has said previously.
I chose this fool as he came recommended by friends in a Perth car club ( spewin').
At the time he took my coupe, there was no bad reviews or warnings etc ..

The video I've taken is actually very kind .. Up close to the car, it's heartbreaking that someone can destroy an old car like that out of greed.

Someone also commented and said I took possession of the car prior to the Resto being complete. This is not accurate.

My coupe was due for completion in October 2015.
He had already cut me off as he had all my money already and the completion deadline was looming.
By December 2015, he had disappeared with my money and coupe. Not contactable.
I started pisting bad reviews online which prompted him to engage a lawyer. He tried getting another $8000 from me and also tried going me for defamation.
There's no defamation as what I've posted is the truth, I didn't destroy the car.. He did.

I was then able to get an advised completion date from his lawyer .. 30 March 2016.

That day came and I drive 600km to find my car destroyed. I was physically chested by Phil Lowelife's offsider .. Goaded into having a crack but I had to walk away and leave my coupe.
Consumer protection advised me not to take receipt of the vehicle and give him option to take remedial action.
I did that to no avail. I did get to film my coupe at his workshop on that date.

I was then permitted to go ahead and remove the vehicle.
I tracked down my motor and gearbox and an awesome person had it bolted back in so j could shift it back to Kalgoorlie in one piece.

She arrived back in Kalgoorlie on my birthday 20th April ... Devastated.

I can't even put into words what this person has done.

I've been physically sick for months knowing what he was doing to my car and powerless to do a Fkn thing as the laws protect these scumbags more than us.

I know you guys will understand this .. The massive amount of money I've lost aside .. This scumbag has destined a beautiful car and has done this to many others.

I never posted my story for sympathy or a war of opinions eetc etc .. I posted with the aim of flushing out others he's done this too and see that he is dealt with sufficiently in whichever ways to ensure he never touched another classic vehicle again.

Absolutely gutted :-/ ... Cheers for reading and sharing

Barry, the problem with leaving it there till it's done properly, is that the guy could never do it properly even if he had a Million years to do it, he simply does not have the skills or right attitude for the sort of work that car needed and deserved.

A great car butchered, I can't see her ever getting all the small and larger stuff in the sort of condition needed, to put it back to its former glory, its gonna be a long haul for it to be anything like it was.

I'm amazed at how calm she came across, if it was me I'd have been ready to kill someone, I prolly wouldn't be able to sleep for a month, and would have found a bunch of the less desirable 2-wheeled lads and given them some money to go spoil old mates day.

Hope it all turns out as good as it can for her.

Aww mate I wasn't calm when I first saw her at the workshop ... I got pulled away :-/ wanted to gauge his eyes out .. I've been physically sick for months trying to get her back. Ended up in hospital from the stress months ago. I've had to wait months to retrieve her legally knowing full well she's ruined .. Been a devastating experience

Either a different car or same car with parts missing and only gave it a cut and polish

Personally I would not of taken it back till it was done properly and would not of paid full amount till resto sighted and OK'ed
