Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to dismantle / reassemble an LJ steering rack. The instructions in the LC workshop manual are very poor.

Ray there is a place at brookvale that does this job " something driveshafts" cannot remember their name - but they are in West Street Brookvale off carter street.

How difficult is it to replace the pinion bearings myself?

The lower bearing is relatively easy it's just behind the cover plate but you have to remove the rack bar from the housing to replace the upper bearing.
