1 is 5.0L ADR27A, so HX and LX past 6/76 They changed HZ and VB a bit and the Bosch number changes so that the last 3 digits become 835. Not sure if A9X got HZ's dizzy.

2 is HZ and VB 4.2L, probably the last of LX 4.2L as well (post HZ release).

3 is HT to HJ, LH and LX pre 6/76 4.2L. Bosch number should be 9 230 063 800.

9 230 063 824 is HX and post 6/76 LX 4.2L used up until HZ release. It is the pre-decessor to your No.2 above.

If you find a 9 230 063 801 i'm interested, my HJ Premier is missing its original.

Thread bump!

I too just found an original Bosch 9 230 063 824 (9938993) points dizzy in my spare parts. It's the factory original unit from my old 253 LX Hatchback. Still in excellent condition. Before I sold that car many years ago I had removed this dizzy to convert to electronic ignition.

Just curious - what is this dizzy worth these days? I'm looking to move it on.

Prob not a heck of a lot? I believe the weights/springs would be different in a 253 dizzy to a 308? They are different part numbers between the pair. Would suit someone doing a correct resto, then piss the points off and fit a Pertronix module inside it.

Yeah I didn't think they would be overly desirable - but like you say - important for anyone doing an original resto. I just don't want to throw it away for next to nothing and then find out later they're actually sought after.

I'll throw it on ebay and see what happens. Cheers.
