Has anyone had anything to do with these VEHICLE PRODUCTION REPORTS that are on the HOLDEN HISTORICAL SERVCES website.

They say they can give a report on an individual car right up to the date of sale and dealer who sold it.

Interested to hear what others have to say

Thanks

Dale

Yep. Basically the same info Holden will give you but it's on a nicer certificate.

HHS is a great service, on my car, he had information what it was used for at GMH in there records, worth the money I think, GMH don't and wont tell you who your Dealer was for your car, unless your name is Brad :P

It's far more than that. Holden have no idea how to decipher their own records anymore, plus Ben has a massive database especially for Holdens from HK-HQ that he can just about spot an anomaly with tags that no-one else can. Plus mountains of other data collected over 30+ years that Holden simply do not have. Holden wouldn't be able to tell you for example that your chassis number doesn't belong to other tags, or that the other tags even belong together. I even doubt that Holden could spot a fake tag.

I used his service very happy. Saved me from buying many none genuine cars. When I did finally get a car I bought his certificate, defiantly worth the money.

from what I hear , it is a good service.

Its a niche service,...and really, why would Holden want to be involved in sorting out people'' 45 year old cars....nothing in it for them

For me, I gained no further information from it from what I had already been told by GMH.

Did GMH confirm the chassis number and ADR tag belonged to the other tags?

The fact you got a certificate means all is good. Ben wouldn't have issued a Certificate if the numbers were out of order and would have told you so. GMH don't even ask you for the chassis number, and if you have them a PSN for an LH Torana with an LX chassis number they still would have issued you something. In fact you could have gone to GMH with all LC ID (ADR plate and BODY plate) with an LJ VIN plate and they'd have issued you a certificate for the LJ.
