There are plenty of registered 6L LH/LX Toranas in WA.
Even using just 1204 kg you can have 1204 x 5 = 6020 cc. The actual heaviest LX is 1306 kg x 5 = 6530 cc.

I have approval in principal from the WA DPI for an LS2 in a LX hatch. I still have not finished the car so it has not been through engineering yet. A friend of has a L98 engineered in his LX hatch.

Which rule changes are you refering to?
The current NCOP is 2011.
My first application for a LS2 in a LX Torana was approved in 11th Aug 2006.
I submitted a second application in 2015 because several components had changed. I also figured the original approval may have expired. The second application was approved in 7th Aug 2015. (Oddly enough, one year today)

aslong as i did exactly what they said etc.
lately ive been seeing quite a few mental cars being legally registered with huge engine and tyre combo's etc.

Hi all,
currently going through the same process myself, vsb 14 hasn't changed since 2011, but licencing centres have told me 180kw per tonne max, unless engineer certified. Does anyone know an engineer that will sign off on an L77 6 litre in W.A??
cheers in advance.
p.s - 2 engineers I've spoken to have said same thing and wont sign off... they said 235kw max for a torana based on 1306kg
