Hi all, i have bought some second hand unused weld pro stars with 255x60x15 tyres on them so i can get the rear tubs sorted. My panel beater has suggested i go a tyre with a little less height to make it alot easier. What suggestions and ideas have use got.

265x50(25.5") or 235/60(26.1") should fit right diff length minor mods

Not sure if you mean what fits in there or minitubbing

I'd rather 255/60(27) be made to fit if chasing big power.

Commonly used radial slick for torries & commodores because if that wont fit sure as hell wont get 28x10 under it

Just trying to make a plan. So if i stay standard tubs with some work. Or go down the mini tub path. Setting a budget as much as anything. It is a LH 4 door also.

I'm looking for 255/50/15s. have been for bout a year, very thin on the ground! Mind you, the 235/60s give the car a nice rake.

You will fit a 235/60/15 ET street drag radial under the standard rear of LH/LX with plenty of space to spare.

Mine were on 15x8 rims with 4.25 inch backspace. I don't remember if the diff (9 inch) was standard length unfortunately.

235/60 on lh probably just need wheel arch lipped & correct diff length..it would have decent dish but tyre look small.

Guessing narrowed diff, may as well go bigger 255's
