It looks like they've still got the std radiator and radiator top hose fitted and just added an extension to it.

I reckon they did this on this car in the magazine to save $$$$$ and not need a Radiator, good idea as in cost saving.

Looks like it has had a repair to the right front too?

Wonder if that was after it was put into the crash barrier?

No one ever mentioned how hard they were put in lol.

The Car in the Photos is not a GMH Prototype, Put together by Don Holland so the story says with Info from Harry Firth or is it the White Prototype and the Don Holland Story is Slight of Hand stuff, as I have contacted Wheels Magazine on FB and emails to the magazine from there magazine email address to put me in contact with Peter Robbo Robinson and no answer back from them at all on said subject on the 3 to 4 times I have asked ?????????  mmmmmmmmmmmm.

The Peter Robinson GTR is a Brissy car. The V8 GTR Prototypes were Adelaide cars.

Peter Robinson was the Editor of Wheels Magazine in this story and he is from NSW and so is Wheels Magazine from NSW

Robbo dose not own the White GTR in the Wheels Magazine Story, it's owned by Geoff Maloney so the story says.

Rodomo I doubt its the Wheels Magazine Robbo only drove cars for Wheels magazine as in testing for stories etc, never heard of him doing any racing and he lived in NSW. And the White GTR V8 in story is not the same LJ Race car you posted. And by the look of the Engine bay photo of the White LJ GTR V8 the Wiper Motor looks like a Adelaide Wiper motor to me ????

Dave that is a different Peter Robinson, the Wheels Editor never raced as far as I know and if he did the car that was raced is not the same GTR that is in the Wheels magazine and going off the Wiper Motor in the Photo of the White GTR V8 it looks like a Adelaide Built LJ GTR ???

This Wheels Magazine issue is Dated Feb 1973, the story would of been done before that Printed/Release Date, my bet story was done in Dec 1972 or Jan 1973, magazines are always ahead in doing there stories before release.

My apologies Al. I had a seniors moment and became confused. I should have read your original post before I engaged the brain with the keyboard. :)

That said, the White 1972 LJ V8 GTR in the magazine article is a Brissy car and the V8 prototypes are Adelaide cars.
