Parts Cloner used to be part owned by Reg ( Muscle Car Trimming ), I was at his place today and he has very limited numbers of gaskets left.

For those after gaskets give him a call 0412 172 643.

Hi All,

Apologies for re-opening an old thread but I'm just checking to see if anybody would be interested in the 9 port Parts Cloner type gasket to suit larger intake ports.  I've now run out of the batch I purchased years ago and there seems to be nothing similar being sold.  Hence I've looked into getting something similar made.

The original plan was to get them cut from the same material but a few of the gasket businesses I approached suggested using a graphite / stainless steel composite (like Sealrite 488), rather than the compressed fibre BAGL 3000 of the original, for better sealing.  Not sure about others, but I've found the originals leak at the exhaust after a while even with gasket goo and straight surfaces.

For low volumes, the gaskets would be water cut at approx $55 each but for higher volumes tooling is made to stamp out the gasket, making the per unit cost heaps cheaper.  Price per die cut unit is approx $18 when doing a batch of 100 (includes cardboard / shrink-wrap packaging) but obviously varies with volume.  Freight would be an additional cost.

Any interest or thoughts on the composite material they've suggested?

Cheers,
Jeff

Hi Jaso,

No hurry for the payment... I'm happy to wait until I get an idea of the postage costs & once the gaskets get delivered to me I'll be in touch.

Cheers,

Jeff
