I was going to get the entire frame and suspension powdercoated... but then it would end up sitting in the shed with the other two cars and never get used....

I still need it to be safe and reliable. So hopefully after this Ill never have to really touch it again.

No it's a CVT drive setup with a drive belt. Then a tail shaft and two unis at the back. Front shaft and two unis again.

Refitted my CVT sheave today. Also fitted a 1mm shim to give it some more low down gearing. Had a trick way of holding the sheave. Just shoved a pinch bar under it on the thick fin. Held it no worries and torqued it up to 100nm.

Got the electrics all working again. The multifunction display was actually unreadable previously, the plastic was totally crazed. I sanded it back on the linisher and then wet/dry sand paper.

Looks like this old girl has certainly done some work...... yikes.

Thanks mate. Still going to get the racks and rims powder coated and fit the new tyres and recover the seat. On the home straight.

Got the rims/racks and bumper powder coated. New tyres fitted. And just finished up re-covering the seat. The rear brake is still a bit ordinary. I'll try re-bleeding but it may just need bedding in?

Also got a 55L spray tank for it that I'll have to jimmy up and get it mounted so that I can poison the property a bit easier.

I think the rear left outer CV joint might be stuffed. It clicks on left hand turns.
