yeah it bolts pretty much straight on, you just need to make a 1/4 spacer to go between the mounting plate on the axle and the bearing seal. i used an old bearing cup and had it machined down to 1/4 thick. pm me if you want me info
cheers adam

Go and buy HQ Axle Seals..........easier than going to the trouble of machining things up.

backing plate, calipers and discs and you need to sort out a handbrake cable as commodore is about 4 inchs too short and torana is completely different. i could be wrong here but i cant see the HQ seal making any difference as i had a friend do the same conversion on his HQ and he says he reckons he had the same dramas. further more toranas and early commodores have the same bearings so i reckon that would include the seals. well if you go to your car parts store they have the same parts number listed for both cars. like i said just get some old bearing cups and get them turned down to 1/4 inch thick to put between your mounting plate on your axle and your seal. oh and when youve put it all together dont forget to remove the check valve off the rear line on your master cylinder. any more querries pm me
cheers adam

No, but putting a Commodore diff & stud pattern onto a Torana, including the disk brakes. Not Yella, so relax.

Check out the Tech Article on UC Rear discs.
It is generally the same setup.

The spacer/oil seal is the same - UC/HQ-on/early Commonwhore.
Cheap and easy to get so really no need to do any machine work.
Been involved in a few disc conversions and this is definately the easiest way to go.

The spacer is a steel ring which sits between the axle retaining plate (where the bolts go thru) and the bearing.
