Hi all, can someone direct me to where or whether you can buy the bushes that the rack slides in, not the ball bearings on the pinion, already have those. The outer LHS bush that is riveted in is in place but the bush at the pinion end (RHS) isn't there. I could turn one up but your thoughts on whether to use alloy or brass/bronze if they can't be readily purchased.

If someone has already been down this road your findings would be appreciated.

Well it certainly looks exploded now Datto, I can find all the parts bar the pesky bush from the RHS , where do you get the whiteline bushes from Statler, I can't even find a part number for them.

There is no bush at the RH end (pinion end) of the LC/LJ steering rack. There is the YOKE that pushes on the back of the rack bar to maintain engagement of the rack with the pinion. The only bush (the metal bush held in place by a rivet) is at the LH end of the rack.

Well thats why I couldn't find it. Even on the drawings that Bazza sent through there seemed to be nothing there that I could see. Obviously the man that designed it had millions at his disposal to design cheap to manufacture but safe and long lasting, my thoughts were that it would have to have a bush to keep the alignment of the rack. I will have to look a lot closer to understand why it was made like it was, thanks Dave, will look at it in the morning, cheers AL
