Anyone used these?

Are they cheap and nasty as i suspect?

Cheap? they certainly aren't cheap $145, crikey!

You will probably find you will have to replace all the indicator bulbs with the LED type and replace the flasher unit as well.

Usually when you go full LED you have to put a resistor into the system or the blinker flashes like crazy. LED's have very low resistance compared to a wire filament.

 

Plasma LED's are best but I think they only come with the staggered bayonet locking poles - 1157's which are for park and brake. Blinkers would be 1156.

 

Here's a video showing the Plasmas in action.

 

 

Edit: if you get blinkers get the amber ones, if you get brake lights get the red ones. White ones will show up as yellow and pink through the blinker and brake lenses respectively.
