Have spent some time in the Woodville Plant . Not during the Holden Manufacturing Years . Large engineering company at the time . I think the metal presses were still there about 15 years ago . With my work it has allowed myself to visit most vehicle assembly plants in Adelaide . Those days will be all but just a film clip in years to come .

Thanks for sharing that, note the lack of any safety ppe & task handling techniques, makes you laugh how cruisy things were then. Such a shame that the gmh product is nearly gone. Part of the Australian dream gone

Having worked in the motor industry we were shown a video at holden in the early years. They were building the EH. Was a pretty awesome old video. Pretty much 95% of the idiots had fallen asleep during the video. Wish i could get a copy of it.

they did show us some epic fails of manufacturing around the world.
this was one clip they showed us.....

No wonder we could never compete on manufacturing costs....

I don't know what's more crazy, the Chinese pressing machine ( with people who didn't look Chinese BTW ) or the 10 clowns around the suspended load & 1 riding it, especially when you see 1 set of chains fail fark luckily the chains weren't Chinese

Interesting advert too, in that "duco sprayers" wanted, pomy talk. They're still called paint sprayers in England, not spray painters.
