Hi all.
I wonder if anyone has a good set of LC/LJ XU1 "Spring Ring" type battery leads?
They have a part number cast into the underside of the terminal, and the ones I'm looking for are part number 2806978 (the negative cable), and 7416627 (the positive cable). The positive is to suit 6 cylinder cars with an ammeter, and the negative is common to all 6 cylinder LC and LJ.
I would like to get some measurements off them if possible.

Nos ones come up occasionally. They go for good coin. Wondered why no one has remanufactured. I would buy a few sets.

Lets help Geoff out here.

I'd buy a set if they are the goods and you don't shaft us.

I have a shit set, not sure on part numbers because the lead was all bashed up so I had to file them flat.

They're available from the states without the gmh markings.
Packard ignition leads too.

It depends on what look you want. For Australian cars the Lectric ones are the wrong terminal shape, do not have the correct markings on top or a part number underneath, use the wrong size and type of cable, and have the wrong lugs.
If you want something that vaguely looks the same, they may suffice.

Yep. I bought a set a few years ago now. I'm pretty sure it was these blokes.

I know he was having trouble sourcing decent spring rings to use, and may have stopped. But it could be worth a call. The workmanship was excellent.

Thanks for the link. I thought LH/LX would be the same but I don't think so. Plus the small cable off one of them is red not black.

Red in the LH/LX you mean? They are black on the LC.

I have been speaking  Andre about these and he is in the process of making a new mould, according to him there is someone else making them now but a lot more expensive.

If you could make & sell these sets for $100 - $125 a set, with a profit, you'd probably have every gtr & xu1 on here with a set. & some s's ect to! I'd reckon.

Their cables are the American cables mate, the holden ones say gmh spring ring ect, not just spring ring. Are they the people saying that they're gmh & asking ridiculous money for the cables, they get in for at least $100 less a set ? Seen them advertising on ebay genuine ? It's crap. At least advertise as gm "style" spring ring & let the buyer decide

G'Day Geoff,

Any chance that you will be selling sets of these at some stage?

Cheers,

You’re welcome Geoff, always happy to help.
Hopefully the moulds aren’t too far away for the GTR and XU-1 leads
Cheers Kevin
